ECBI - Edinburgh Community Backgreens Initiative - Providing Greenspace for the Community

Organise Blitz Workshops

Backgreen 'Blitzs' are volunteer workshops for the regeneration and development of backgreens. They can be held to clear out an overgrown backgreen, or install new features like raised beds.

Previously backgreen blitz were organised by ECBA staff, and residents turned up at the allotted time.  During 2011, we are looking at ways that groups and individuals can plan their own backgreen blitz.  We have provided information below which will help anyone seeking to organise a Blitz.  ECBA also has a store of tools and equipment useful for setting up a new site send us an email if you want to borrow tools.
